C1 A CAST AWAY INSTRUCTIONS

INSTRUCTIONS

“If one does not know to which port one is sailing, no wind is favourable”.

– Lucius Annaeus Seneca.

In this journey, you will start in your birth-realm, based on your date of birth and related sun-sign, such as Taurus, which would place you to start on the river in Torfeld.

You will then be taken to your own Port of Departure and through three stages of self-discovery using your tarot deck over a period of approximately one week.

You will only require ten minutes a day for the actual steering of your ship, but each day will also carry much introspection work in any time you give to it.

During this experience, which can be explored at your own pace, by yourself, or in the company of fellow Wayfarers, you will be encouraged to cast away old baggage that no longer serves you in life as you approach the centre of time.

INSTRUCTIONS

In this gated spread we consider our tarot deck to be the River of Time upon which all our stories journey.

1. Take out the Six of Swords to represent yourself as a Wayfarer upon the river.

2. Take out one selection of cards as shown below, representing your baggage, each inventory of which is dependent on a specific burden you may wish to journey with at this time.

i.e. if you wish to work with a burden in your health, select DEATH + 7 OF WANDS + One card of your choice.

If you are an advanced Wayfarer, you may choose your own set of 3-6 cards to represent a specific burden for this gated spread.

Lay these cards face-up in a row, with the Six of Swords placed above them.
