After the Magician takes his leave, the High Priestess quietly knocks at the door and is welcomed in [TURN OVER YOUR HIGH PRIESTESS CARD AND PLACE IT ON TOP OF THE MAGICIAN NEXT TO DEATH], she is cloaked in blue, gold and embellished with Palm leaves and Pomegranates. Death bows down to the High priestess as she sees ‘beyond the veil’, the veil that is thin this very night of All Hallows Eve. Death bestows upon the High Priestess initiation through abrupt and brutal endings, when the mysteries are cast aside, and her veil torn asunder. She allows us then to see that which is hidden from life.
In return, the High Priestess grants Death his Mystery, to veil his face, so that the living know not constant fear in their forgetfulness of him.
